Violence against women in politics constitutes one of the main barriers to the access and permanence of women in spaces of leadership, representation and political decision-making. This serious violation of human rights affects the diversity of women throughout the world, for which reason its approach is critical from States, political organizations, the media and civil society.

Virtual Simulation Workshops
on Gender-Based Violence
The Gender-Based Violence Simulation Workshop is a tool developed to raise awareness of gender-based violence, through virtual experimentation of scenes through a computer or digital tablet. The virtual simulation tool allows to educate and create awareness in the community about gender violence while offering tools to support and assist victims of gender violence. This educational tool is made up of eight characters whose stories are based on real women who have experienced gender-based violence. Since this educational simulation tool has an interactive element, the participants will be able to experience the challenges, obstacles and particular circumstances that women have to face in their search for a life without violence.

What is feminism?
A set of political and social movements and ideologies that share one goal: to ensure that women have the same personal, social, economic and political rights as men. It also seeks to end the sexual, physical, and psychological abuse that can occur at home, in the workplace, and in public spaces.
What is gender equality?
It is one of the objectives in the UN Declaration of Human Rights and aims for each individual to be treated with respect regardless of their gender. Although feminism focuses on women, equality is usually associated with this movement because, since the female sector is the one that suffers the most from discrimination; getting their rights respected will go a long way towards fully achieving equality.
